An ice cream seller from Shrewsbury has slammed criminals who rode off with his specially-converted trike.
According to a report by the Shropshire Star, Ted Bowen has endured a long, hard winter but was looking forward to making up for lost time over the coming weeks, with temperatures across the UK set to rise. But after going to pick up his tricycle he discovered thieves had made off with his transport.
Mr Bowen's trike, which was chained up in the centre of the town, has a small freezer attached to the front.
The 33-year-old told the newspaper: "I had last used it a week ago but when I got there it had gone, lock and everything. That bike is my whole livelihood, and now I don't have a livelihood."
A police investigation into the theft is on-going and Mr Bowen has offered a £200 reward for information that leads to the return of his bike.
But despite the setback, the entrepreneur has said he is determined to carry on with his business as he does not want to let his customers down.
