Philips add Hue Go to their innovative home lighting system

Philips have added a portable, rechargeable light to their successful home automation range, Philips Hue.

One of the best received ‘Internet of Things’ technologies the Philips Hue range revolutionised the way we think about household lighting with new dimensions of flexibility and user control. The three components of the system – the bulbs, bridge and app – create a customisable set-up allowing users to experiment with brightness and colour for the perfect ambiance.

The Philips Hue Go takes an hour and a half to charge and then has a battery life of three hours. The stylish lamp’s ‘glow’ cycles through a spectrum of colours and, as with the rest of the range, can be controlled through the Hue mobile app.

The device costs £79.99, making it a fairly costly addition to the Hue system – though this is without a doubt the most elegant torch you’ll ever purchase.
