Rumours are rife that tech giant Apple will announce its long awaited Apple TV innovation at the Worldwide Developers Conference this June.
The company have often expressed their interest in revolutionising the TV experience, which CEO Tim Cook once described as, “stuck in the seventies”, giving Apple enthusiasts a tantalising hint of things to come.
The new set top box will apparently support Siri voice controls and an app store for the platform; as well as having a much larger memory than previous models and the same A8 chip as the latest iPhones.
The timing of the announcement is also significant and could see Apple TV take centre stage in the company’s ‘Home Kit’ of compatible devices. A development which sees Apple stake their claim in the burgeoning ‘Internet of Things’ market, currently dominated by the likes of Google and IBM.
