Three years after he first appeared in one of the company's TV commercials, a small soft toy has been adopted as 'brand ambassador' by one of Australia's biggest washing machine manufacturers.
'Bunny' has been made the official 'spokesrabbit' for Fisher & Paykel's range of front-loading SmartDrive washing machines.
"We believe Bunny is a perfect fit with our brand. He makes you feel a whole lot better about the simple things in life," Fisher & Paykel's marketing manager, Kara May, told trade website Applianceretailer.com.
Bunny has acquired his own fan base since making his debut in 2011, with Fisher & Paykel even releasing a knitting pattern so that his fans could make their own version of him last year.
“Bunny symbolises all those precious items people treasure, like toys or delicate pieces of clothing and we understand people are incredibly disappointed if they emerge from the wash mangled, discoloured or in anything other than pristine condition,” Ms May said.
